We're currently raising $3,000 to purchase two AEDs for our Maplewood location so we can be prepared in emergency situations and continue creating a space that’s safe for our shoppers, volunteers, and staff.

A huge thank you to Ascendium Education for volunteering with us at our Maplewood location last week.

We’re so grateful for teams that take time out of their day to show up for our community.

🍓 We’re excited to share that Open Cupboard and Today's Harvest will be hosting a Minnesota GreenCorps member at our Maplewood location beginning this September!

This role will support our food rescue and food waste work, helping us continue finding creative ways to keep good food out of landfills and on kitchen tables where it belongs.

Applications for Minnesota GreenCorps members are now open for the September 2026–August 2027 service term.

Inventory Manager at – Maplewood

Food rescue powers so much of our work at Open Cupboard, and we're looking for someone to help keep it all moving.

This full-time role starts with hands-on warehouse work — receiving, moving, organizing, and coordinating food inventory alongside staff and volunteer teams — and will grow over time into broader inventory management and logistics coordination across our programs.

If you enjoy staying active, solving problems, creating systems, and helping ensure fresh food gets where it’s needed most, we’d love to hear from you.

⏰ Full-time | Monday–Friday (8am-4pm)
💵 $58,000–$64,000/year + great benefits (401k match, health & dental, PTO & more!)

Big news: the legislation Open Cupboard supported around egg donations has officially passed (unanimously!).

Food rescue powers so much of our work at Open Cupboard. Every day, we partner with local retailers to rescue safe, edible food and get it into the hands of shoppers who can use it. And eggs are one of the most requested items at food shelves.

Thoughtful policy changes like this help make sure good food reaches people instead of going to waste.

A huge thank you to everyone who helped move this forward, including our Executive Director, Jessica Francis, who testified before the House Committee, and our Strategic Partnerships and Projects Director, April Rog, who testified before the Minnesota Senate Committee on Agriculture, Veterans, Broadband, and Rural Development.
