Our farming journey.
For many years, I have wanted a hobby farm. The kids grew up and moved out, and my husband and I retired, then six acres and a big, beautiful cypress barn came up for sale right across the street! Of course, we jumped at the chance to purchase it and began our farming journey. The land was totally grown up. The Barn was covered in vines and brush was grown up around it. The pond had so much vegetation growing in it that on the narrow side it almost covered it completely. The fencing was in bad shape and falling down. We had our work cut out for us. Now, almost two years later, we have the farm pretty much like we want it. I hope you enjoy reading about our journey and the posts about daily farm life.
