Not all samples tell the full story.

Representative inline sampling helps processors collect samples that more accurately reflect what is happening throughout production, leading to better data, faster troubleshooting, and stronger process control.

With QualiTru’s closed-system approach, processors can safely collect representative samples directly from tanks and pipelines while helping reduce contamination risk to both the sample and the line.

Better samples support:
✔ More reliable quality data
✔ Faster investigations
✔ Improved process monitoring
✔ Reduced product loss and waste

Tap into the benefits of inline sampling and see how representative sampling can support stronger quality management across your operation. Visit https://na2.hubs.ly/H05MgRH0 to learn more.

𝗥𝗲𝗳𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 & 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝗰𝘂𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗦𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗻𝗮: What will it take to make safe food everywhere, every day, and for everyone a reality?

This month, Sabina C. V. Alexander will share a thought, question, or observation each week inspired by her experiences in food safety, microbiology, and the dairy industry.

The goal is simple: start meaningful conversations about the challenges, opportunities, and ideas shaping the future of food safety.

Read her thoughts below, then share your own perspective in the comments. We look forward to the discussion.

𝗝𝘂𝗻𝗲 𝟯:

World Food Safety Day is Sunday, June 7th. The theme this year is “From burden to solutions – safe food everywhere”.

This aligns with my dream of safe food for everyone and it has me reflecting on what it would take to have safe food everywhere, every day, and for everyone.

𝙍𝙚𝙛𝙡𝙚𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝘿𝙞𝙨𝙘𝙪𝙨𝙨𝙞𝙤𝙣:

What do you think it will take to make the dream of safe food everywhere, every day, and for everyone a reality?

Here’s one thing I’ve always thought. I think everyone in the food industry needs to pivot from profit and loss goals first to goals related to ethics and integrity in food safety first.

I’m reading Simon Sinek’s Start with Why for the fourth or fifth time – well, this time it’s the 15th anniversary edition, so technically it’s the first time – and again I get to thinking about the food industry and how it may change if all food businesses had a why centered around ethics and integrity in food production and it was part of their culture. How might that change food safety narratives?

So, tell me, what do you think of my dream and answer the question yourself: What do you think it will take to make the dream of safe food everywhere, every day, and for everyone a reality?

I look forward to hearing what you think and to a lively discussion as we look ahead to World Food Safety Day on Sunday and, hopefully, perpetually – one day.

Understanding spore-forming pathogens is critical for protecting milk quality and dairy food safety. This FREE ADPI webinar will explore how pathogenic spores survive, spread, and impact dairy processing environments, along with practical strategies for detection, monitoring, and contamination control.

Speakers:
• Sabina C. V. Alexander, QualiTru Sampling Systems
• Dr. Nicole Martin, Cornell University

Most dairy plants are not struggling with a lack of procedures.
They are struggling with a lack of shared understanding.

When teams are not aligned, it shows up as:

• Inconsistent sampling practices
• Unclear CIP verification
• Environmental monitoring non-conformances
• Stressful audits
• Product holds, rework, and loss

Our new program, QualiTru Technical Services Educational Training Program for Dairy Processors, is designed to turn uncertainty into verified process control by giving teams practical, real-world training in sampling, sanitation, monitoring, and troubleshooting.

𝗥𝗼𝗼𝘁 𝗰𝗮𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗹𝘆𝘀𝗶𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻!

This week, Sabina C. V. Alexander led a session on Root Cause Analysis at the Wisconsin Laboratory Association (WLA) Spring Workshop. Through hands-on exercises like building fishbone diagrams, attendees worked through real-world scenarios to identify potential contamination sources and move beyond symptoms to true root causes. These kinds of practical sessions are where things click. When teams understand how to systematically investigate issues, they can shift from reacting to problems to preventing them.

This is exactly the focus of our new QualiTru Technical Services Educational Training Program, designed to help dairy teams strengthen contamination control, improve process monitoring, and build lasting food safety expertise.

A big thank you to WLA for the opportunity to be part of such a great event and for bringing together an engaged group of industry professionals.

But across the industry, experienced professionals are retiring, and years of practical food safety knowledge are leaving with them. When that happens, teams often feel it through inconsistent practices, sanitation challenges, environmental monitoring issues, and difficult audits.

That is why we are excited to launch the QualiTru Technical Services Education Training Program for Dairy Processors. This new program provides practical, expert-led training to help teams strengthen contamination control, improve monitoring strategies, and build lasting food safety knowledge across their operations.

𝗡𝗘𝗪 𝗕𝗟𝗢𝗚: Food Manufacturing Waste Reduction: How Hidden Contamination Drives Product Loss
https://na2.hubs.ly/H04FSw70

Hidden contamination rarely shows up overnight. By the time shelf life drops, product is rejected, or shipments are delayed, the problem has often been developing inside the system for days or even weeks.

In our newest blog, Sabina C. V. Alexander shares her thoughts on how persistent contamination can quietly trigger a cascade of operational issues that lead to product loss, production downtime, and increased sanitation and testing costs. She also highlights why relying solely on finished-product testing often detects problems too late and how earlier monitoring and targeted sampling strategies can help processors detect contamination before it impacts production.

QualiTru sampling systems combine three key components to help protect both your process and your sample:

• TruStream Stainless Steel Sampling Ports create dedicated sampling points directly on tanks or pipelines
• TruStream Septa maintains a clean sampling pathway with pre-sterilized septa
• Sterile Collection Units enable safe, controlled collection of both small and representative samples

Together, these components help reduce contamination risk to the line and the sample while supporting consistent monitoring throughout production.
