As always, we had a fun time at the Mass Sheep & Woolcraft Fair! As a last minute decision, we got the new recruits out - and it was worth it!

Introducing Forsee 233 - “Alchemy”. He went on to win Supreme Champion Ram in the meat devision of the show.

And, Lone Rooster 2410 - “Sage” was Champion Ewe.

Our own Fox Field Farm 2517 won her fall ewe class.

Chelsea Mann, showing Fox Field 2506 - “Kiki” won her class in the Medium Weight Market Lamb.

Looking forward to the rest of the show year with these new additions!

We had a great time showing and seeing everyone at the first week of Big E!

Our fall ram Fox Field 2409 won the fall ram lamb class as well as Best Headed.
His twin, Fox Field 2408 was 2nd in the fall ram lamb class.

Fox Field 2312, Marigold, stood 5th in a large, deep class of yearling ewes.

Fox Field 2401, Peaches, was 1st in the early fall ewe lamb class.

And Fox Field 2410, Mimi, was 3rd in the early fall ewe lamb class.

Now looking forward to the fall lambs that should be arriving in the next week!

We had a good time at the MA Sheep and Woolcraft Fair this past weekend! Fox Field 2409, our fall ram won Supreme Champion in the meat breeds show.

Chelsea Mann is leasing one of yearling ewes, Fox Field 2315 “Martini”. This was their first show together, and they stood in the top 5 of the biggest class of the show.

And congrats to Brent Cassavant on winning Supreme Champion in the wool breeds show with his white Lincoln fall ram, Wind Valley 2402.

Feeling very grateful for having the chance to interview with Sally at Country Folks. Was a great way to end our show season!

Many young adults who show sheep have a solid background of working with livestock since childhood. That’s the case for Jessica Leary, who started showing sheep with help from her aunt who raises Lincoln sheep. Because there was no opportunity to participate in local 4-H, Leary started her show career in junior shows [...]

The sheep are back home and settled after their week at Big E. We are very happy with how they did. Some of our highlights included:

2309 - “Junior” was first place Fall Ram Lamb and went on to be Senior Champion. He also won Best Headed.

22108 - “Talula” was 4th in a deep yearling ewe class

2302 - “Peanut” was 2nd place early fall ewe

2312 - “Marigold” was 3rd right behind Peanut

And we were second for exhibitor’s and breeder’s flock as well as get of sire.

Continuously proud of the progress the flock is making. Thank you Wind Valley Farm, Brent Cassavant, and Terence Blake for all your help in making this a successful show.

We had a great time at Massachusett’s Sheep and Woolcraft Fair last weekend! Even got my friend Chelsea out in the show ring for the first time.
