Collect as much or as little as you like, we carry many sizes to suit any novice's or foodie's needs - better than farmers market selections. We will help you procure that unique spice for any exotic recipe and even suggest substitutions if the ingredients are unavailable immediately. We want to take the intimidation factor out of cooking with spices, so we can help you build the pantry of your dreams! History:
The business was conceived after 15 years of searching and praying for just one place where I could shop to find those special ingredients for my experimental home recipes. Many times it took 4 or 5 trips to different stores to find different spices and herbs and even then, many ingredients I wanted were nowhere to be found locally in South Florida. The internet is great, but sometimes I needed that perfect ingredient ASAP for a last minute party that was spontaneously arranged. Preparing Thanksgiving Dinner for family and friends over the past 10 years, I've come to realize each holiday how inseparably my passion for food and faith were intertwined; on a firm foundation of love for food and others I hope to build a comforting store where people come in as strangers, but walk out as friends. From the Owner:
In my mind, I'm still just a chubby little kid from Buffalo whose prayers were answered to someday own his own business. This door opened after an 11 year career ended of helping schools, churches, synagogues and charities raise money for their respective causes. Walking away from a job where clients and co-workers became like family was hard to do, however, after losing my younger brother in December 2009, I realized how short our time here is and prayerfully decided to follow my passion and my mother's sage advice that, "If you want something done, do it yourself."
