A hard day within the last week on the farm 🐔🖤

We lost one of our Ayam Cemani chicks to a hawk — from our very first hatch. It was rough on the rest of the chicks who watched it happen.

We’re looking at ways to tighten up predator-proofing before the next hatch.

🐣 Newly hatched Deathlayer chicks at the farm! 🐣

Meet our latest arrivals — The Deathlayer (“Todleger”) hails from Westphalia, Germany, prized for centuries for hens that kept laying eggs reliably into old age — hence the name. The breed nearly disappeared after WWII and remains rare today, especially here in the U.S.

We’re honored to help preserve this piece of poultry history. More updates as these little ones grow! 🐔✨

🎉 What a season! We’ve officially rehomed 12 out of our 13 Dewlap Toulouse goslings this year (couldn’t resist keeping one for ourselves 💛). Huge thanks to every wonderful family who welcomed one of our goslings home — we hope they bring you as much joy as they’ve brought us! Here are a few last photos of our sweet goslings before they waddled off to their new adventures. 🐣✨

Excited to introduce the newest members of our farm — show quality, pedigreed Blanc de Hotot rabbits! 🐰

This striking French heritage breed is known for its snow-white coat and bold black “eyebands.” Nearly lost after the World Wars, the Blanc de Hotot remains critically rare today, and we’re proud to help preserve it here on our farm!
