Showing up to girls' night with flowers because apparently that's the kind of person my garden has turned me into. 🌸

Anyone else fighting bugs this year?

The worm tea has been helping the leaves a bit but there is something about the white flowers that bugs cannot resist. So I've been covering blooms with organza bags. Extra work, but worth it for flowers this pretty. 🤍

worm casting tea. let me explain 🪱✨

worm castings in a mesh bag + 5 gallon bucket of water + a little molasses + aerator = let it brew 24 hours and you have liquid gold for your garden 🌿

spray it right on the leaves and they absorb the nutrients SO much faster than through the soil — plus it helps with pest resistance AND heat tolerance which is everything right now ☀️

your plants are going to THRIVE

Stop paying $7 for a tiny clamshell of microgreens and grow your own in just 8 days. 🌱

Here's the easy method:

✔️ Solid tray on the bottom
✔️ Mesh tray on top
✔️ Add a reusable grow medium
✔️ Sprinkle your seeds evenly
✔️ Mist with water and place a second tray on top

Mist twice a day until the seeds sprout. Once they've germinated, move them under grow lights and start bottom watering.

That's it. No garden, no fancy setup, and very little maintenance.

These Purple Plum Radish microgreens were ready to harvest in just 8 days—fresh, flavorful, and way cheaper than buying them at the grocery store.

Would you grow your own microgreens? 🌱

It would take an obscene amount of money to get me to stop feeding my kitchen scraps to worms and watching them turn into the best thing that's ever touched my dahlia beds.

If we haven't met… 👋 Hi, I'm Lynsey, a flower farmer who grows flowers for my farmstand at the bottom of my driveway.

You open your fridge, see the half-eaten veggies you forgot about, and think about tossing them out. Instead, you find yourself wondering if your garden truly needs more nutrients, while your latest flower bed looks a bit lackluster. Just last week, you dug up an entire section of weeds, realizing you’ve been neglecting the good stuff in favor of the mess!

What if I told you that those scraps could transform into rich worm castings? By adding kitchen scraps and letting worms do their magic, you can boost your soil's health without extra effort. Imagine your dahlias bursting with color and life. It all starts with creating a thriving environment in your garden

This Friday only, you'll find wildflower bouquets at the stand! 6/12/26 at 10 am

The dahlias are so close and I spotted a few blooms opening this morning. With this stretch of hot weather, I'm hopeful we'll be able to stock the stand regularly with dahlias in the next week or two. 🤞

Until then, the wildflowers are stealing the show. Every bouquet is a little different and filled with whatever is blooming around the garden right now.

No florist markup. No ordering ahead. Just grab a bouquet, leave payment in the box (or Venmo), and enjoy a little piece of summer. 💐

I originally planted calendula after reading The Lost Book of Herbal Remedies, and then realized I already had comfrey growing out in the garden too.

Both have a long history in traditional herbalism. Calendula is known as a gentle, soothing herb often used for calming skin irritation and rashes. Comfrey has long been called “knitbone” because it was traditionally used to support healing of bones, sprains, and bruises.

Every summer, I pick a basket of calendula flowers and comfrey leaves, infuse them in oil, and make a simple salve to keep around the house. With two kids in sports, it definitely gets used.

One of my favorite things is growing plants that are pretty enough for the flower garden but useful long after the blooms are gone.

Have you read The Lost Book of Herbal Remedies? And what’s your favorite medicinal plant to grow? 🌼🌿

And before you tell me you don't have room or need a fancy setup... my worm bin is literally a tote from Home Depot.

The most expensive part is buying the worms, and after that, they pretty much take over the operation themselves. They turn all those scraps into some of the best fertilizer you can give your garden, flowers, houseplants, or raised beds.

Simple. Cheap. Less waste. Better soil.

Who's running a worm bin already, and who is about to be worm-enabled? 🪱
