Owner/Operator Brian Goehry brings his 30-plus years wine and spirits knowledge to life at this favorite neighborhood shop. Located on bustling Piedmont Avenue for seven plus years, Brian has successfully cultivated an extensive and specialized collection of fine wines, artisan spirits, and craft beers. We're not ready to say goodbye to summer without an island retreat -- if only through our glasses. 

We'll be pouring 4 wines from various island terroirs (Corsica, Madeira, Canary Islands, Sicily):

✨ 2025 Los Bermejos Lanzarote Listán Negro Rosado
✨ The Rare Wine Co. Historic Series Madeira New York Malmsey
✨ A TBD Sicilian white or orange (come by to find out which!)

Free for Explorers Club members (& a buddy!) but open to all, tonight’s event will feature 3 French wines & 1 French inspired local wine from August’s Explorers club (dropping TODAY).

We’ll begin in the Alpine foothills of the Savoie, venture to the Eastern border in Alsace (with one of the region’s most iconic producers), take a holiday in the Côte Catalans with a phenomenal chilled red before hitting up Bordeaux & wrapping up with a biodynamic spin on a classic bistro wine.

Thursday, August 20th brings Piedmont Avenue’s Summer 2026 night market series to an end. We’re saying farewell to summer the only way to do it—TOMATO FEST!

We’ll be serving up cocktails based on Veso Aperitifs Tomato Vermouth - $10 only - with complimentary tomato snacks on the side from 5-7:30pm. 

Enjoy the late summer sun and stroll down the avenue to check out popups, specials, extended business hours and more! And don’t forget our neighbors!

Pinot Noir is the star of this month’s sparkling club pack, just as California’s Pinot harvest enters full swing. Seemed like a good time to celebrate this grape in just a few of its fabulous manifestations: still, sparking, red, white, rosé, young, aged, german-style (spätburgunder), or with an italian/slovenian touch (Pinot Nero).

South of the Côte de Beaune and North of Beaujolais, the Mâconnais is where you'll find Domaine Coteaux des Margots, a beautiful family operation  started by Jean-Luc and Véronique Durossay. We'll have their sons, Paul, who imports the wines to the US and lives locally, and his brother PJ, who makes the wines, in from Burgundy with us Friday night to walk you through these long time shop and customer favorites, along with some new arrivals:

🧜🏾‍♀️🧜 Tinned fish fans rejoice! This Friday we’re serving up some salty SEAsonally inspired spreads at the bar. Olga will be dishing up her two versions of sardinade with fish-friendly wines - including a Champagne - to match!

A sardinade is a lively French summer celebration built around the humble sardine, or in our case - a sardine paté (sardines, egg, capers, herbs, Dijon mustard, and lemons) that have been curing in salt for two years, waiting for this exact moment.

One bowl goes spicy with pickled jalapeño. One goes smoky with pimentón.

Mix, match, snack and repeat to find which wine you think pairs best with each.

FRIDAY 7/24 5-7:30 | It’s our July Adventurers Club release tasting, which is open to ALL but FREE for club members and a + 1 and this one will be a seismic event!

The drama of volcanoes has always captivated us and the same is true for wines grown in the churned up debris, packed ash and hardened lava flows of ancient - or active - volcanoes, perhaps most famously Etna. But let’s not forget some of the former volcanoes in our backyard, like Sonoma Mountain/Mt Veedeer.

July’s Adventurers club, which released on the 21st, features 2 volcanic wines:

Girolamo Russo’s Etna Rosato 2024
&
Sky Mount Veedeer Zinfandel 2016

We’ll be pouring both this Friday along with 2 more wines grown in volcanic soils:

Barone Villagrande Etna Bianco 24
&
Cameron Dundee Hills Pinot Noir 23

Volcanic wines - as we call them - across varieties and continents share some similar traits, from their tannic structure (taut,fine, and dare we say ashy?!?), to their pH, to their intense minerality and - particularly among reds - to their subtle notes of anise or allspice.
