✨SPOTLIGHT: Emily Fernwood of OSA MAJOR … one of the 10 local, independent, low-intervention winemakers joining us for HANGTIME! …. ✨ Emily Fernwood is a Berkeley-based winemaker devoted to crafting classic, site-driven wines under Osa Major Wines. Working with organically farmed vineyards across California, her approach emphasizes native fermentations, gentle handling, and little to no added sulfur, allowing the grapes and their origins to speak for themselves.

From her website: “A Bay Area native, Emily returned home after years of traveling and working harvests around the world—from California and Oregon to Australia and New Zealand—before founding Osa Major Wines in 2020. Today she is involved in every step of the process, while exploring both well-known and lesser-known vineyards across the state. Informed by traditional winemaking methods and guided by the wide diversity of the state’s ancient geology and historic wine regions, the wines are joyful, fresh, and balanced—and unmistakably Californian”

✨SPOTLIGHT: KAREEN … one of the 10 local, independent, low-intervention winemakers joining us for HANGTIME! …. ✨

“Kareen is the name of an ancient Armenian city located in present-day central eastern Turkey. Kareen is where our family is from. By naming our wine Kareen we wanted to give this place & memory, a rebirth of sorts. While we are a modern day Armenian – Californian family and naturally all parts of this wine come from the abundance of Californian terroir, we draw our inspiration from the memory of a land once ours. Kareen is a place, a dream and a muse wrapped up into one for us”.

HANGTIME will celebrate local winemakers and over 30 low-intervention wines. Additionally, some of the Bay Area’s best pop-ups will be on-site serving delicious bites. Come for the tastes and stay for the vibes. HANGTIME will be on Sunday, July 26th from 1-6pm in the backlot at Oakland Yard.
