This is an absolutely horrible pic but there are 4 adorable piglets here. Momma Mo was eating & I had to hurry to get a picture! They are healthy & very active - all good news! However, 4 piglets in a litter is definitely below average. She is a wonderful mom but we’re learning that a sow’s reproductive life is vastly different from other animals we’ve owned - she will be retired after this. So if anyone around northeast Nebraska has a Meishan gilt, let me know!

This is Mabel - she is a rockstar livestock guardian dog! We have been gone all day at a family get together. We get home & there are 9 extra goats at the barn that are not fenced in. Obviously they are not where they are supposed to be but Mabel has kept them at the old barn Lord only knows how long. She deserves so many awards over the years - this is only 1 example of how important she is to our little farm! ❤️

This is the escape artist “Snowflake”. She has chosen to live with the barn goat Ramsey. There is no fence keeping them around the old barn - they just don’t like being in their appointed fence. 🙄
Someday we’ll get better at building fence! 😂
