"Pour one jigger absinthe into a Champagne glass. Add iced Champagne until it attains the proper opalescent milkiness. Drink three to five of these slowly." -Hemingway's original instructions for his cocktail "Death In The Afternoon". Well, we did that. Then we added milk and dark chocolate and froze it. I think Ernest would be proud.

Kahlúa is a coffee-flavored, rum-based liqueur. It's dense and sweet and has just a hint of vanilla bean. It was first introduced in 1936 in Mexico and it's a main ingredient in our white russian flavored ice cream, which we call "The Dude." We're brainstorming mix-ins for the Dude, like chopped espresso beans or homemade brownie pieces. What are your favorite mix-ins? Which would you like to see in a white russian inspired ice cream?
