Oakland United Beerworks is a collaborative gathering place where we unite and inspire our community

Oakland is and always has been a beer town; a place where hard-working people would gather together to enjoy locally brewed, fresh beer. As the local population grew, Oakland was affectionately referred to as the "Milwaukee of the West" for its numerous neighborhood-based breweries. Founded in 2009 as Linden Street Brewery, we became the first community-based production brewery in Oakland since Go

lden West Brewery closed in the 1950s. In 2017, following the sale of our building on Linden Street to a new developer, we moved our operations to the waterfront Jack London District and rebranded as Oakland United Beerworks. With the support of a team of dedicated Oakland craft beer enthusiasts, Oakland United is proud to continue the great beer brewing tradition in Oakland.

MEET DAISY — OUR NEWEST LUCKY DOG! 🍺🐾

Our newest Lucky Dog Hazy IPA is officially here, and this release features a very special member of the OUB family: Daisy, the beloved 12-year-old blue nose pitty of Chelsea, one of our longest-tenured team members and an integral part of our crew. ❤️

Daisy came into Chelsea’s life unexpectedly in 2020 and has been her shadow ever since. In her younger days, she was happiest running, playing, and swimming in just about any body of water she could find. These days, Daisy has embraced a slower pace: sunny afternoons on the back porch, naps in her favorite spot on the couch, and keeping her favorite people close.

She also has PLENTY of personality. Daisy communicates primarily through piglet-like grunts, snores louder than anyone else in the house, lives with a cat that bullies her, and has absolutely perfected both the classic pitbull side-eye and puppy-dog pout.

We couldn't think of a better pup to feature on our newest Lucky Dog can.
And the beer inside is pretty special, too.

This IPA is brewed with Citra, Mosaic & Strata hops, with huge aromas of guava, mango, passion fruit, pineapple, lemon, and orange.

Grab a pint of Andrew Ritter's tribute West Coast IPA and pair it with some of the best shawarma around as we celebrate Andrew's life, legacy, and raise a glass in support of ALS research. It's a special day for our brewery, and we'd love to celebrate with you.

La Cosina Azul returns with their absolutely incredible menu of tacos, burritos, quesadillas, nachos, and more.

SCRUMP-TIOUS GATOR IS BACK!

Today marks the return of one of the most meaningful beers we brew each year.
Scrump-tious Gator is our annual Ales for ALS Andrew Ritter Tribute Beer - a 6.5% West Coast IPA brewed with HBC 638, Citra, and Talus hops. It bursts with aromas of citrus, lemon, lime, cherry, peach, and date, followed by notes of papaya, fresh white bread, and flaky pie crust. Bright, crisp, and packed with classic West Coast character.

But this beer is about so much more than what's in the glass.

Every pint and can sold supports Ales for ALS and the ALS Therapy Development Institute (ALS TDI), helping fund critical research while honoring the life and legacy of our co-owner's son, Andrew Ritter. Andrew's spirit continues to inspire our brewery, our team, and our community every single year.
