MAY 3 / SATURDAY / 6:30pm TONEWOOD & COURAGE is honored to present THE SILVERADO PICKUPS for a special benefit performance benefiting the Bob McClenahan family. Bob McClenahan was a friend to The Silverado Pickups and a Napa Valley icon who will be greatly missed by the entire community. All proceeds from this show will go directly to the McClenahan family.
The Silverado Pickups are comprised of some of the Napa Valley’s most esteemed musicians, vintners and wine industry professionals. Their distinct sound was born in the sun-drenched vineyards, resulting in an honest original combination of classic rock, country, and California rockabilly. Grab some friends and come enjoy a great night of music showcasing the heart of the Napa Valley community at Tonewood & Courage in downtown Napa.

The vines are pruned, the buds are breaking, and warmer weather has been sweeping our vineyards. Spring is here and, with it, comes the release of our 2021 Gargiulo Vineyards Pinot Grigio and 2021 Rosato di Sangiovese.

The Gargiulo Vineyards Pinot Grigio, a varietal seldom grown in Napa Valley, comes from our Money Road Ranch vineyard in the heart of the Oakville AVA. Napa Valley’s climate allows the grapes to develop fully and release more personality and complexity than typically found in this varietal.
The 2021 Pinot Grigio harvest was handpicked with meticulous selection, then whole-cluster pressed before starting a slow, cool stainless steel fermentation to preserve aroma, freshness, and length.
The 2021 Gargiulo Vineyards Pinot Grigio is light and bright, emanating orange blossom, lemon zest, and a hint of pineapple ripeness and finishing with crisp minerality and mouthwatering acidity.

The Gargiulo Vineyards Rosato di Sangiovese is crafted from vineyard blocks specifically farmed for rosé, and picked and pressed at the cusp of mouthwatering acidity and peak ripeness. We ferment the Rosato di Sangiovese in small stainless steel vessels to add complexity and bottle this wine early to emphasize the intensity of the fruit.
The 2021 Gargiulo Vineyards Rosato di Sangiovese is bursting with vibrant notes of fresh strawberry and honeysuckle on the nose. With a balanced acidity on the palate, a touch of watermelon leads to a refreshing and exacting finish.

The 2019 Money Road Ranch Cabernet Sauvignon carries with it the hallmark dark fruit, and structure of the Money Road Ranch Vineyard. Deep, gravelly loam soils, careful selection of root stocks, and dry farming have created a vintage to be enjoyed now and appreciated even more as it evolves over the years.
We began the 2019 growing season with optimal soil moisture and ideal fruit clusters. The summer and fall were full of long, warm days and crisp, cool nights. These perfect weather conditions allowed the harvest to be thoughtful, resulting in grapes that beautifully express Money Road Ranch’s timeless terroir.
Perhaps our favorite way to think about our 2019 vintage is to marvel at its “remarkable energy.” This energy first appears on the nose with characteristic scents of brooding blackberry and extends on the palette with a mind-bending combination of balanced acidity, tannin, and flavor intensity. The 2019 vintage delivers everything we love about Money Road Ranch — complexity, finesse, and depth of expression — all perfectly harmonious.

2019 APRILE super oakville blend release
This wine marks the 20th vintage of our Sangiovese blend inspired by the Gargiulo family’s heritage. Harvested from vines planted in the mid-1990s at our Money Road Ranch Vineyard, the dry-farming creates smaller berries which concentrates the vibrancy of this varietal seldom found in Napa Valley.
To preserve the delicate flavors of Sangiovese and show the unique terroir from which it is grown, Aprile is aged in predominantly neutral French oak barrels. The blend is 92% Sangiovese with just 8% Cabernet Sauvignon to add structure and complexity. Aprile’s flavors are bright and fresh, yet the elegant texture and balanced acidity allow the wine to pair well with almost any cuisine, including Jeff’s amazing red sauce he serves at home most Sundays.
