Wayne-Sanderson Farms’ Danville, AR Complex has announced the recipients of its 2026 scholarship program recognizing three local students, from the families of Company employees, pursuing higher education.

“We are happy to support these students as they pursue their higher education goals,” said Toby Tapp, Wayne-Sanderson Farms' Danville Complex Manager. “Education, preparation and training are essential to building a successful future, and we are honored to play a role in helping these students achieve their dreams.”

Wayne-Sanderson Farms' Kinston, North Carolina complex team recently donated four cases of chicken to support a local community member's Eagle Scout project fundraiser. Proceeds from the plate sales will help fund the construction of a bridge at a local church, improving safe access between buildings for attendees.

Stewardship is one of our core values, and we're proud to support local communities and help young leaders who are working to make a lasting difference through service.

Today is World Food Safety Day! This day aims to raise awareness and promote concrete actions to prevent and manage foodborne risks to support human health and safe food and agricultural practices.

Wayne-Sanderson Farms' Palestine, Texas complex recently welcomed faculty and staff from Stephen F. Austin State University for a plant tour and discussion about the poultry industry.

The group represented several areas of study and expertise, including animal and poultry science, environmental science, agribusiness and farm management, and had the opportunity to learn more about our operations and the people who help drive our success every day.

The Wayne-Sanderson Farms Corporate Microbiology and Chemistry Laboratory team recently held a celebration to recognize the laboratories' accreditation achievements!

Through a commitment to quality, scientific excellence and continuous improvement, the team has successfully achieved and maintained ISO/IEC 17025 and USDA Accredited Laboratory Program (ALP) accreditations. These accomplishments reflect the laboratories’ dedication to delivering accurate and reliable test results according to internationally-recognized quality standards.

Over the past year, the laboratories have significantly expanded their capabilities through the implementation of advanced instrumentation and new analytical methodologies, with independent audits validating their technical expertise and compliance with rigorous industry standards.

The laboratory team plays a critical role in supporting food safety, product quality, and innovation across our company, from pathogen detection and microbiological testing, to nutritional analysis, allergen testing and trace metals analysis. Looking ahead, the laboratory team is committed to advancing its scientific expertise, expanding testing capabilities and continuing to support the evolving needs of our company.

Wayne-Sanderson Farms extends a warm welcome to our 2026 Summer Interns! Last week, the company kicked off our 11-week, project-based internship program by bringing 29 interns onto the team. Throughout the summer, interns will learn from our team through an operations-focused, hands-on opportunity to gain experience within the poultry industry. We look forward to the contributions they’ll make and the experience they’ll gain throughout the program!

Wayne-Sanderson Farms is proud to announce our continued partnership with Mississippi State University (MSU) following the official groundbreaking of the university’s new modular poultry feed mill this month. The new mill at the H. H. Leveck Animal Research Center will provide a high-tech environment for research, nutrition trials, and hands-on student training that mirrors real-world commercial operations.
