They are in the dog house. Mini horse broke them out. And each one had a part of the mess. Clean up today!

POV mini horse becomes the chaos coordinator for the herd and breaks them free to raid the barn.

Bizzy broke his friends out last night. I guess it’s bonding. Best part is Jeremy had the new lock and chain in his cart. Chaos destruction.

Finn and Fonzie get sheared. We bring them to the barn together. They are best buddies. So they act as each others emotion support alpaca. When separated they humm to each other. It’s their way of talking. Calling out to each other. Making sure they are close. They humm back and forth. We shear them twice a year. Once in the spring and once in the summer to keep them cool.

Part 3. Finn getting sheared. Now you will hear him. And know he is not hurting. He just doesn’t like what is going on. Finn is still a baby and will get used to this process. Notice how compassionate our shearing team is. Talking to Finn. Comforting him. And always making sure he is safe. Boomer Husbandry Services LLC

Part two. Finn the alpaca gets sheared. After trying to shear standing up we had to move to the ropes. Jumping around could hurt Finn and keeping him safe is number one. Boomer Husbandry Services LLC

Summer is hot! Alpacas are heat sensitive and it’s important we keep them cool. In Florida we do two shearings. The second is just to make sure they don’t overheat. Finn getting sheared part One. Alpaca shearing is done with compassion and expertise. Boomer Husbandry Services LLC does amazing work with our animals. Always starting with the softer option then going to an option to keep them safe.

Urg. Still not ok with this loss. We miss little Frankie and reminds us to be thankful for the animals we have the honor to care for every day.

Do you have a favorite? I tell all our animals they are my favorite. I think they are on to me. But each is so special and unique in their own way. We love them all
