🌭🔥 Ocala… it’s time to crown a Wiener King.

Wiener Wars 2026 is bringing the fiercest hot dog competition this side of State Road 40 to Downtown Market on April 20 from 6–9 PM.

Local restaurants will battle it out using a pre-chosen all-beef frank, but everything else is fair game. Toast it, grill it, smoke it, stack it sky-high with toppings or ditch the bun entirely. Technique, creativity, presentation, and taste will determine who rules the doghouse.

Guests will sample each team’s entry, cast their vote for People’s Choice Champion, and watch as celebrity judges decide the Judge’s Choice Champion.

Only one competitor will walk away with the crown…

👑 The Wiener King.

Participating teams currently include:
100 Proof Saloon, Bank Street Patio Bar & Grill, Big Hammock Brewery & Bites, District Bar & Kitchen, Flying Boat Taproom, Say Taco Tequila Bar & Grill, and The Smoked Biscuit Company.

Early Entry tickets grant access at 5 PM, while General Admission begins at 6 PM.

The event benefits the Marion County Literacy Council and the Ocala Outreach Foundation, with support from our presenting hot dog sponsor Cheney Brothers, Inc.
