🚨 **WARNING: CONTROVERSIAL POST AHEAD!** 🚨

So some people are boycotting businesses because they use AI to advertise their products? Seriously? 🤣

Let me ask you something...

**Have you EVER ordered a McDonald's burger that looked ANYTHING like the picture on the menu???** 🍔😂

Come on!!!

Businesses have been using Photoshop, professional photographers, perfect lighting and every trick in the book to make their products look better for DECADES.

But now that AI allows small businesses to create decent advertising without spending a fortune, suddenly it's a SCANDAL? 🤦‍♀️

And here's something people seem to forget...

**TIME!!!**

As a small business owner, I can tell you there are NEVER enough hours in a day! Customers, inventory, suppliers, paperwork, accounting, events, cleaning, fixing problems and the 300 other things that magically land on our plates!

Marketing is just ONE more thing to squeeze in.

If AI allows me to create a promotional picture in 10 minutes instead of two hours, guess what?

That's almost TWO HOURS I can spend actually RUNNING my business, helping customers, discovering new products or maybe, just MAYBE, having a life outside of work! 😂

AI doesn't run our businesses for us. We still have to come up with ideas, make decisions and do the actual WORK.

**It's a TOOL. And a pretty damn useful one!**

Now, if a business deliberately misrepresents what it's selling, that's a different story. I'm not defending that BS.

But threatening to boycott a hardworking small business because they used AI for an advertisement?

Give me a break! 🙄

**Judge the PRODUCT, the SERVICE and the PEOPLE behind the business. Not the software they used to make a pretty picture.**

Well, this is a bit frustrating... 😂

Apparently, Facebook has decided that Sandy's Shack isn't worthy of being recommended to new people.

Why? Excellent question! We'd love to know too.

We're a small, independent, locally owned w**e & b**r store in Ocala. We follow the rules, work our butts off, support our community, organize tastings, bring in unique products, and do everything we can to keep things interesting.

But somehow, Facebook's mysterious automated system has decided we're not recommendation material. 🤷‍♀️

So... we have a little favor to ask our amazing customers and followers.

🍷 THURSDAY RETAIL TRUTH: SOME W**E BOTTLES DESERVE A SECOND LIFE!

What happens to your w**e bottle after you've enjoyed every last drop?

Well, if it ends up in the hands of Angie Cain from Crafted Inspirations, it might just become a little work of art! 🎨

These beautiful, handmade decorative bottles were once filled with w**es purchased right here at Sandy's Shack, enjoyed, emptied, and given a completely new purpose.

No w**e was harmed during the making of these creations. We made VERY sure of that! 😂🍷

Each bottle is individually crafted, with its own textures, colors, and personality. No two are exactly alike!

And some of you may recognize them…

Remember our w**e pairing dinner back in July? These were the gorgeous bottles displayed on the tables!

Just another perfectly normal day at Sandy's Shack…

Alex is sitting at the store, minding his own business, when he spots a lady unloading THIS from her car in the parking lot. 😳

Let's just say he JUMPED out of his chair. 🤣🤣

For a brief moment, we had some SERIOUS questions about what kind of business was going on at Six Gun Plaza.

Turns out, it's just our neighbors at The Ocala Escape a couple of doors down.

Apparently, their idea of unloading supplies is a little different from ours. We get w**e deliveries. They get… whatever the hell THIS is. 💀😂

We love our neighbors, but a little warning next time would be appreciated. Alex nearly needed a glass of w**e himself! 🍷

🍷 W**E WORD WEDNESDAY: TERROIR 🇫🇷

You've probably heard someone say, "You can really taste the terroir in this w**e."

Sounds fancy… but what exactly does that mean?

Terroir (pronounced tehr-WAHR) is a French term describing the natural environment in which grapes are grown.

We're talking about the soil, climate, elevation, sunlight, and even the slope of the vineyard.

Here's what's interesting: 🍇

Take the same grape variety, grow it in two completely different regions, and you can end up with two remarkably different w**es!

For example, a Chardonnay grown in cool Burgundy, France, can taste quite different from one grown in sunny California.

Same grape. Different growing conditions. Different personality.

That's terroir!

And it's one of the reasons exploring w**es from different regions is so fascinating.
