During my summer vacation I spent a lot of time in Sweden and was taught all about Fika. Fika is a Swedish tradition of coffee and amazingly delicious sweet treats. A custom thatās more about the gathering than it is about the coffee. A Swedish tradition that feeds the soul as well as it does the body, and itās encouraged to be done once a day to stop what youāre doing, and have a few minutes at the minimum for a Fika. One of the treats I liked the most was called Kanelbullar. Itās like our cinnamon rolls but the whole thing tastes like the middle part of our rolls, and if youāre anything like me- you know thatās the best part. Instead of topped with a thick icing itās topped with crunchy pearl sugar. I was gifted a recipe from a 70 year old Swedish grandma and couldnāt wait to come back and share with my customers whoād like a little taste of Sweden. So this is the special sweet treats for the month of August š The menu opens for sales tomorrow morning.
