Happy Birthday to the real Lizzie of Lizzie’s Café & Bistro ❤️

Before it was Lizzie’s Café & Bistro, it was Little Rock Lizzie’s—a fun, catchy name inspired by our daughter Lizzie (the youngest Rocklin) and her early AIM screen name. It just felt right… warm, welcoming, and full of personality.

About five years in, we dropped the “Little Rock” (after one too many “Are you from Arkansas?” 😄) as we grew into the bistro-style place you know today.

But the name is more than a name—it’s a story of heart and commitment.

When Lizzie was in college in NYC, she would take the subway to Port Authority → bus to Cape May → ferry to Lewes → then another bus down Coastal Highway… just to work weekends in North Ocean City.

Sounds crazy? Maybe.
But that’s family restaurants.

We show up.
We work hard.
We stick together.

Lizzie—thank you for always showing up for us, for this place, and for every guest who walked through our doors.

Even though your brother Matt now carries the torch, you will always be the heartbeat of Lizzie’s.

From your family, former staff, and so many guests whose lives you’ve touched—
