Welcome to our new page!

Holiday reorders are keeping me busy! I’ve been telling everyone about the added cooking tip I accidentally discovered this past year. I always cook my gumbo the day before and generally start an ice water bath immediately after it finishes cooking to cool it down quickly before putting it in the frig. One time I completed my 1 hour gumbo in, well, 1 hour.
I turned the burner off, left the lid on it and walked
away for 30 minutes before I came back and started the ice water bath. The next day my husband commented on it being the “Best Pot” I had ever made!
Well, I’ve added the 30 minute rest with the lid on to my routine and if it gets any better I don’t think we’ll be able to stand it!🦀. Happy Holidays!🎄

Cooking my Super Bowl Gumbo this afternoon. Super easy!
New hint: Leave the lid on for 30 minutes after cooking. Melds the flavors beautifully!🦀
