Today, I am cooking meatballs, mixing Romanian and Sicilian styles. Romanians lean more on onion, garlic, and herbs, while Italians often add Parmesan. I bring them together in a tomato sauce with spaghetti. Follow my page for new recipes and join my online cooking class on December 5th.

🇬🇷❤️ A Taste of Greece in Your Backyard!
Fresh vegetables, creamy feta, Kalamata olives, and golden olive oil—this simple Greek salad brings Mediterranean sunshine to the table. ☀️
Cooking is more than following a recipe. It’s about fresh ingredients, cherished memories, and sharing something delicious with the people we love. ❤️
Today, I’m making one of my favorites: Traditional Greek Salad, or Horiatiki!
🥗 Ingredients
4 ripe tomatoes, cut into wedges
1 large cucumber, chopped
1 fresh green bell pepper, sliced
½ red onion, thinly sliced
A generous handful of Kalamata olives
200–250 g Greek feta cheese
4–5 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
1 teaspoon dried oregano
A pinch of sea salt
A splash of red w**e vinegar, if desired
👩‍🍳 Instructions
1. Prepare the vegetables
Cut the vegetables into generous pieces and arrange them on your favorite serving plate.
2. Add the toppings
Add the Kalamata olives, then top with big pieces of creamy Greek feta.
Sprinkle with oregano and sea salt, and drizzle generously with extra virgin olive oil.
3. Let the flavors mingle
My favorite tip? Don’t serve it right away.
Let the salad rest for a few minutes so the tomatoes, olive oil, and oregano can mingle. That short wait makes every bite even more flavorful!
4. Serve and enjoy
Serve with fresh, crusty bread to soak up all those delicious juices. 😋
Simple ingredients, beautiful flavors, and lots of love—that’s my kind of cooking! ❤️
What’s your favorite way to enjoy Greek salad: with crusty bread, grilled meat, or all on its own?

If you are from Eastern Europe, Asia, or Africa, you probably know this already. Fish head soup is rich, savory, and packed with collagen and omega-3s. It's not for everyone if you're not used to it, but for me, it's an amazing comfort food—a warm, traditional fish head soup.

🇮🇹 A little secret to making soft, pillowy homemade gnocchi!
The secret starts with the potatoes! 🥔❤️
Choose starchy potatoes like Russets, boil them whole with the skins on so they don't absorb too much water, and peel and mash them while they're still warm.
Let the steam escape before adding flour. For every 1 pound of potatoes, start with about ¾ cup of flour and add only what you need. Too much flour makes gnocchi heavy and chewy!
Gently roll the dough into ropes and cut it into little pillows. Cook them in gently boiling salted water until they float, then give them another 30 seconds or so.

🌿 In the Blue Zones, longevity isn't just about what we eat. It's also about how we live. Working with our hands, preparing food from scratch, moving naturally, and sharing meals with loved ones are beautiful traditions worth keeping.

Making gnocchi is more than cooking. It's a way to slow down, connect with our senses, and keep generations of Italian traditions alive.
