2026 Cold Hardy Citrus Field Day! UF/IFAS

09/29/2026

Spring 2027 starts long before it actually arrives.

We are already preparing for next season, and today another load of USDA-certified citrus trees left Georgia Grown Citrus, headed out for the 2027 market.

There is a tremendous amount of work behind every finished citrus tree—from certified plant material and protected production to growing, planning and distribution.

Today, Perry and Lindy happened to be the loading crew (because the truck showed up perfectly at lunchtime). Two “seasoned” members of the workforce moving a whole lot of young trees. 😊

It’s rewarding to see the next crop heading out the gate and know that these trees are another step closer to their final destination.

That’s a wrap on the 2026 Leadership Georgia Regional Program!

What a joy it was to be a part of the International Year of the Woman Farmer panel and speak to those who are unfamiliar with ag about the ag industry at present and what it means to be a woman farmer 👩🏼‍🌾

Grateful for the opportunity to represent agriculture and the women who help move our industry forward.
