We woke up to a text message from the owner of the property we farm saying that she saw the dogs were out and noting that some trees had fell in the storm last night. We got there to see a couple large trees down and one of them right where the chicken trailer was… it was obvious that the tree had fell and knocked the fence down, letting all the chickens and the dogs out. By the grace of God, all animals were totally fine and the trailer only had a small piece of metal damaged. We are so thankful!!

Had a fun afternoon feeding cows and moving chickens and cleaning up blackberrry bushes to make more area for good grass. Excited to see how these areas transform!

Happy October from the farm! The cooler weather is such a welcome change and we’ve been spending much more time as a family at the farm…. Such sweet moments. We are so excited to see the mountains come alive with red, orange, and yellow leaves!

It’s been 6 months with our sweet Addy. She seems to love going to the farm more and more each time… she was laughing at the cows and dogs when we went yesterday and it was so cute. It’ll be so cool to see her interactions with the animals as she grows. We are so blessed to get so much time on this beautiful land overlooking the mountains, and to be able to raise our daughter around these fun and amazing animals.

We had a great day yesterday and my favorite part was spending time at the farm as a family while Kyle moved the cows. We got to help him a little bit too, and by help, I mean Addy fell asleep in her stroller and I held a line for a few minutes. Tough stuff 😂

Kyle officially bush-hogged all the pasture! Lots of sweaty long days… but he did it! Addy and I went and watched for a little bit. What a beautiful place to be. Kyle is thinking we will move the cows to the big pasture soon. So far, they have been in a more-fenced area in the front of the property. We’re excited to get them out here! Although he has been seeing a lot of coyotes…
