Here comes your fun fact of the day (read to the bottom, I was shocked)! 🐔🥚🐔🥚

FACT 1:
In general, if a hen has white colored earlobes she will lay white eggs, if she has red earlobes she will lay brown eggs, and if she has a bluish tinge to her earlobes she will lay blue or green eggs.

WHAT THE WHAT! The color of their earlobes are typical of the color of the eggs! I was today years old when I learned this! Here are more facts……

FACT 2:
Does one color of egg taste better? Some people swear that brown eggs taste better, while others prefer the taste of white eggs. But just as with nutritional content, there's no real difference between the taste of brown- and white-shelled eggs!

FACT 3:
Studies show that farm fresh eggs have less cholesterol and saturated fat than those purchased from the store. Additionally, they also contain 25% more vitamin E, 75% more beta carotene and up to 20 times more Omega-3 fatty acids. This is all according to a Mother Earth News Study that has been verified multiple times.

What an exciting last few days here on the Farm. Excited to get the rest of the Turkeys out to everyone to enjoy on Thanksgiving. What other way to end the culling weekend then enjoying a small Heritage Hen on the grill! From Farm Pasture to table within 24 hours...it was amazing and fresh!

We do it for you! So you know it has been taken care of, fed well, where it comes from and that it will be delicious!!!...

We do it for you! So you know it has been taken care of, fed well, where it comes from and that it will be delicious!!!! Soon...our orders for Thanksgiving will be filled with these delicious Turkeys. One hand-me-down tractor along with three new built tractors move daily.

What a great time to find out, the farmer who harvests the crop around us supplies all the necessary feed supplies to our local feed mill for our feed. So our animals get what has been around them this WHOLE time! Here they are working hard last week.
