About 4 years ago we started with 12 chickens, and as they say, "Chickens are the Gateway animal to farming." Over the past couple years, we have expanded our poultry to include ducks, geese, quail, and turkeys. Two years ago, we built a new poultry and rabbitry barn, expanding into rabbits which we show around the state. Last year we decided to add sheep and goats, and this year after 2 years of
trying we were able to successfully breed our pair of AKC French Bulldogs. When it comes to our chickens and ducks, we not only provide eating eggs, but we have specialized breeding pens focusing on Giant Blue Partridge Brahmas, Silkies, Bantam Cochins, and white leghorns. We had a Trio of Turkeys, but we lost one this winter so will be looking to expand in spring. Then we have a Trio of Splash Roman Tufted Geese, which we will hopefully be able to provide goslings in spring of 2024. In our rabbitry we currently have both show and pet quality Mini-Rex (shaded colors, torte, and hope to be able to provide chinchilla, and sable martin this year). American Fuzzy Lops, Holland Lops, Lion heads, and Netherland dwarfs. Our daughter started showing rabbits 2 years ago, last year we expanded our breeds, and started showing as a family. Spring of last year we ventured into another direction and added two club ewe lambs Ali and Ari as well as our ram Winston, and a silky fainter Billy goat named Jasper and his partner in crime a Pygmy Billy goat named Gus. Our two children will be showing sheep/goats in the 2024 Shawano County fair, so there will be more to come with this new adventure in this next year. After 2 years of trying, we were able to get our 4 year old AKC Brindle French Bulldog Lucy to successfully breed with our 3 year old AKC Reverse Brindle French Bulldog Spencer. Together they gave us 4 beautiful little Frenchie’s. We have since added a new fawn girl to our pack and look forward to what the future holds for them. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to us. We will start incubating again in February and our incubation season lasts until November. We do tend to have a waitlist on our Brahma and Silkies.
