Our program goals are to breed cattle that excel in the economically important traits. We aim to add value to our customers next calf crop.

Breeding for performance, moderate birth weights, maternal traits and highly desirable carcass is our primary focus Kenny Angus originated in 1990 in northwest Iowa near Schaller, by Brian and Sue Kenny and their sons, who are fourth and fifth-generation beef producers. With the sincere love of beef cattle and an abundance of crop residue readily available, we set out to build a herd of high-quality functional cows. We selected Angus because of their unlimited potential and their ability to improve the quality of beef in the marketplace today.

Another South Dakota Angus Tour in the books! It’s always great to visit with old friends and meet the new breeders that have so much enthusiasm.

Great time meeting with the Black Hills Region and seeing the outstanding Angus programs out west. Thanks again to all the breeders for their great hospitality. Plus, it’s always a bonus to see the Kenny Institution progeny work out in that country.

Even though the area is experiencing the worst drought in a long time, the cattle looked great and the Angus folks are very enthusiastic about the future!

She sold on our 2024 sale and that steer calf weighed 70 lbs at birth who’s out of a Kenny Angus bull. Looks like she landed in a great spot. Appreciate the update Jayme!
