Freeze dried some medicinal plants yesterday and I’m really excited to add them to the Apothecary. Comfrey and Broad Leaf Plantain will be infused in oil and turned into healing salves. The Mullein and Broad Leaf Plantain will be medicinal teas as needed.

Bronze beauty lettuce is living up to it’s name. I keep checking the weather and looking forward to filling the green stalk planters with beautiful greens. I’ve decided next winter I’m growing ALL the greens indoors to get us through without the grocery store.

So excited for Spring. We’ve got plant starts just about ready to go out and we need to make room for all the summer seeds that need to be started. Got about 450 onions and some leeks to get in the ground.
There’s a new to us greenhouse on the horizon and we’re super excited for that project.

We’re making the most of snow days while still keeping all the animals watered.

It’s a great day on the farm. A beautiful calf born on my dads 84th birthday. I absolutely love the way the herd takes care of it’s own, whether it’s checking out and welcoming a new calf or them gathering around a herd mate that has passed.
