Our kids have been helping process chickens for the past three years, making our youngest about two when we started. Each year they learn a knew skill, understand a little more and appreciate the process because of it.

We took a little break from farm chores to enjoy the City of Odessa, Texas Color Run! We loved getting out as a family, making memories, and joining in the fun with our community. ❤️

It’s with heavy hearts that we share that our Belgian boy, the left-hand member of our team, passed away last night from a twisted gut. For nearly 15 hours, we did everything we could to help him, but despite all of our efforts, we could not save him..We are heartbroken and will miss him dearly 💔

Kids left the little freezer ajar so a quick canning sesh yesterday to save almost 12 pounds of venison 😮‍💨
In moments like this, it’s easy to be frustrated and upset, or we can take the moment to be grateful for the opportunity to learn a new skill.
First time canning meat but everything sealed perfectly 👌
