These chicks are ready for new homes. A cross between my Ermine Ameracauna rooster and my Black Copper Maran hen. This offspring should produce a beautiful olive green egg! These chicks look to be pullets, but know that nothing is definite until they either lay or crow. Just comparing them to the others. I also have a couple of these that appear to be roosters, if anybody is interested in adding a beautiful olive egger rooster to their flock! These chicks are all 8 weeks old. $10ea

Apparently, Capella hadn’t finished kidding when I came out earlier and she ended up having a doeling as well! Unfortunately, she isn’t accepting her. So, she is an indoor goat for the evening so she doesn’t get hurt. We were able to get Capella on the milking stand and let the baby nurse to get the colostrum she needs. We will try again tomorrow to get her to accept her. Until then, we will have to try bottles tonight. I wasn’t ready to have a newborn around again anytime soon. Who needs sleep, right? 😬🤪 We have decided to name her Almond, more on that later.

Came home from work to find that Capella had a single buckling. Mama and baby seem to be doing great!
