Today we celebrate the birthday of a baseball legend, a true friend, superior umpire, and mentor, Jimmy Darden. ❤️⚾️

Jimmy made such an impact on so many people, both on and off the fields. His knowledge, guidance, friendship, and presence are deeply missed. The fields just aren’t quite the same without him.

Happy Birthday in Heaven, Jimmy. We miss you and continue to keep your family and all of his close friends in our prayers today and always. 🙏🏼❤️⚾️

Coaches have completed the draft. Players will be contacted over the next couple of days with their team information. Please be patient, but if you have not been contacted by FRIDAY, please reach out.

We’re still looking for a few coaches! Teams without a coach will be contacted and we need you to step up!

With over 600 kids and over 50 teams, these coaches came in and stepped up when we needed them to and got the draft done in under 1.5hrs. Thank you all!

🚨 We are still looking for MINORS COACHES! 🚨

So if your athlete is signed up to play MINORS, this is your friendly little hint from the baseball universe: STEP UP! 😂

You don’t have to know everything about baseball! That’s what YouTube, Google, and the other coaches are for. 😉 We just need a few parents willing to show up, teach the boys, and help make their season a great one!

REGISTRATION UPDATE! ⚾️

We hit 600+ athletes, and our registration spreadsheet is fighting for its life. 😂

We’ll be working on teams, uniforms, and schedules based on the registrations we received during the open window and will not accept late registrations.

FALL BALL IS IN FULL FORCE, LETS GO! 🧢🍂

This meeting is mandatory for all coaches, and we strongly encourage everyone to make plans to attend. We’ll go over important information, expectations, schedules, and everything you need to know to get your teams ready for the season.

We’re calling on our local businesses to STEP UP TO THE PLATE and become a YEARLY SPONSOR of Sherwood Little League! 🙏🏼

The dugout sponsorship will provide some much needed shade for the kids while they play in the West Texas sun, get the custom sized banner for the side of the dugout where all the families sit or get a banner hung in the outfield!

We have around 500 kids playing ball, which means roughly 500 families watching, cheering, eating, shopping, and supporting businesses right here in our community. 👀

When you sponsor Sherwood, you’re not just putting your name on a banner, you’re investing in our kids AND getting your business in front of hundreds of local families all season long!
