Fence fixing day at the farm!! Put up the gates and some panels to make the pens easier to get in and out of and to reduce all the clutter from the pieced together panels i had up before! And took pics of the 4 baby wethers. Except forgot to get Clyde's pic. Almost 4 months old now and weighing 50-59 pounds each! They are available at $300 each.

Milkmaid #1 (Wendy) says: "Sold Laverne's last kid along with Wilma's kid. What does that leave me with? MILK! Each of them producing a gallon a day that suddenly i have to remove from their udders twice a day, then process and freeze two gallons every day! Enough is enough, Vacation coming next month but first I have to dry up the girls.

First up, no more grain. That alone didnt work to reduce the milk. Next up, no more alfalfa, and nothing left but grass hay. Don't know if that has helped because that only started this morning.

However, now I need earplugs because Laverne screams non stop, demanding to know why she gets no grain and no alfalfa and is receiving a STARVATION ration of all you can eat good grass hay. That simply will not do, she proclaims loudly, "SHOW ME THE GRAIN!!!""

SOLD!
One of the last ones available to find a new pasture this year!

This is a doeling you will want to bring home if you are looking for excellent temperament, lots of milk and looks to go along with it. She comes complete with a racing stripe on her hind leg. Pony Lake Farm Dixie is available now and will come with registration application as an American Nubian. This photo is from 9/7/26.

Dixie is a tame and friendly doeling. At barely three months old, she weighs in at 59 pounds, and is growing like a w**d. She is one of those that I will keep if she is not sold. Her dam, Woody Creek Yvonne, milks over a gallon a day on twice daily milking though she is being dried off now. Yvonne's production level remains consistent until dried off. Dixie's two year old half sisters, Laverne and Shirley kidded this year for the first time, each producing over a gallon a day.

Dixie is sired by Kansas Bluestem Pistol Pete.

Her temperament, like her siblings and dam, is very gentle, and not pushy. I anticipate she will be as easy to milk as her sisters are from the very first day on the stand.

Dixie has not been disbudded. 500
