I finally added the first recipe to my website 🎉

many of you know, this has been a long time in the making 😅 but I’m excited to share that my first recipe on my new website:

rhubarb chicken salad
Featured local ingredient: rhubarb
Sourced from

now this dish in of itself is not fancy, it’s quite easy, humble, and fast to make. And while it’s delicious - this is not going to win any culinary awards

but my intention with the website is to share unique recipes, that celebrate seasonal local ingredients in approachable ways

One of my main observations from working various farmers market booths over the years, is that many of us want to buy that local and seasonal produce… but we don’t always feel knowledgeable and empowered on how to use the various produce items we see at the market

So rgus season, on my website, I will be sharing how I am using, preserving, and celebrating ingredients from local producers throughout the season and inviting you to join me by sharing the recipes

I have so many fun recipes marked to try-

so now, after nearly a year of brainstorming, website building, and dreaming

I’m so happy to be sharing this humble recipe.

♥️ the website is linked in the bio and visit ,in the kitchen’ to find the first recipe

Tomato time 🌱

If you have ever spent any time talking to me about tomatoes, you know how excited I get about tomato season and how nerdy I am about tomato varieties 🤓

I spend more time each winter choosing my tomato varieties then I do any other flower or plant

Yes, I love growing flowers but tomatoes are my all-time favorite summer crop 🌱 🍅

I used to think that I didn’t like tomatoes until I realized that there is such a diversity in texture and taste, some acidic while others are sweet. Some are soft and others are firm. Some are juicy and others are dry.

There really is a tomato for everybody out there and this year, these are the 6 that I chose

When choosing varieties of tomato to grow, productivity is important to me. Especially If you’ve ever grown large tomatoes, you know that sometimes it can be disappointing to get a few fruit the whole season.

flavor is ultimately the non-negotiable, I really love the dark black/purple tomatoes that have a umami/savory flavor profile. I also really love a fruity, lower acid yellow/orange tomato too

But my other consideration is multi use. I want to be able to can and make sauces and salsa from my garden while also having delicious fresh use options as well

You will see that I’m not growing any Roma type tomatoes, and that is because these tomatoes can be multi use and have better flavor than Roma types in my opinion

Anyway, if you’re interested in tomato plants, we are selling them through our Google form sale. They are $5 per plant OR $4 per plant if you are getting 6 or more

we have weekly pick up options in Layton or South Ogden

Dm me for the link or join our bi-monthly newsletter ♥️

Blue delphinium 🩵

There are several stunning varieties of light blue Delphinium that are a dream to integrate with other flower colors like pink’s, pastel’s, oranges, whites 😍 both in the landscape and in floral design work

There are not many types of blue flowers, so I am always a sucker for a pretty blue flower

This year I started a Bajillion seeds, the variety that I chose is belladonna Cliveden Beauty

We currently have 6 packs of seedlings for sale (see the link in stories to purchase) and soon I’ll have more bulk buy options available. (Dm if you’re interested in bulk)

These are perennial flowers and in northern Utah, will benefit from some shade in the summer time

What are your favorite blue flowers to grow? ⬇️ let me know below

Feverfew seeds $3 ❤️

Feverfew is in my top three favorite cut flowers.

I love using feverfew and floral design and bouquet making because the flowers are so cute and they are the perfect filler.

They are also cheery in the landscape

The best part about feverfew is that it is a short-lived Perennial and will flower for around three years.

You can allow it to reseed, or save the seeds to plant or scatter yourself for endless Blooms

Generally, the flower stems are short the first year, but they get longer the second and third years.

This is also a flower you can plant all summer up through early August. Then they will flower the second year on nice tall stems.

I currently have a Google form sale, linked in my stories, where you can get some seeds. Or, you can dm me. These are seeds that I saved myself.

$3 per seed packet, pickup in south Ogden or $5 for shipping (and ask me what other seeds I have to add to your order)

Does anyone else love feverfew as much as I do? ❤️
