Underground is a 40% ABV (80 Proof) liqueur flavored with 33 herbs spices and natural flavors. It is the flagship product of Ogden's Own Distillery located in Ogden, Utah. Underground is often served ice cold as a shot, but mixes well with other liquors, liqueurs, Sodas, teas, and juices. Its flavor is a sweet mellow blend of cassia, angostura, anise, cardemom, gentian, yarrow, wormwood, mate,
guarana, and ginseng to name a few. It is a digestif similar to other bitters such as B&B Dom, Chartreuse, Jagermeister, and Gorki List. Digestifs were originally used as cure alls from an upset stomach to the common cold. During the Prohibition Era, Ogden's legitimate storefronts hid speakeasies, gambling houses, dens of iniquity, moonshine stills, and o***m dens. A network of tunnels below the city streets allowed for escape routes, hideaways, and other Underground activities.
