Meet L’Apéro Vermouth — our side-street wine Vermouth infused with geranium blossom, local citrus, and wild herbs. Bright, botanical, and built for golden hour.

Here I am—a French guy who learned to make wine in the United States, trained in tradition, choosing a different path in California—between Los Angeles and Santa Barbara, where the rules feel a little looser and the landscape a little wilder. 🍇🇫🇷🇺🇸

Instead of massive estates, we focus on what makes this region so unique: sourcing exclusively from non-commercial, small independent vineyards

Side Street Wine is a natural winery operating inside an Ojai brewery. Winemaker Fabien walks through how we make Piquette — a low-alcohol wine fermented from the skins and stems left over after we press the harvest. Nothing leaves the building wasted.

We spent the day hand-picking Piquepoule from Ojai Roca Vineyard off Shelf Road and pressing every cluster by hand. After a long day of work, the sun sets and it’s time to clean up—because tomorrow, we do it all again.

This Magie Blanc Piquepoule exudes confidence with every sip—rich and robust, with dense texture, deep fruit flavors, and a complex, lasting finish that lingers on the palate.

Very limited release—only a few bottles left of this vintage.

Side Street Wine x Messermeister ✨🍷
We had a blast today making cocktails with our neighbors at Messermeister on Bryant Street! Did you know they’ve been crafting knives in Ojai since the 80s? 🔪💫

In the spirit of harvest, we created a wine cocktail inspired by two classics—the French 75 and the Kir Royal. Here’s how we did it:
🍇 Reduced fresh Grenache juice (from our Moment Rosé ferment) with sugar, raspberries & rosemary to mimic Chambord.
🍋 Mixed in a little Wilder Gin + lemon juice.
🥂 Topped with our Anarchy Sparkling Wine and a splash of our upcoming Vermouth L’Apero.

The result? Refreshing, unique, and harvest-ready. 🌿🍸
