Our little farm grew again last night. Petunia had Triplets. Petunia only has a few more litters before retirement so grab them while you can. 1 buckling (agouti and moonspot) 1 doeling (agouti) 1 doeling moon spot. Better pictures later. These are registerable kinders.

This is one of our biggest needs for the foundation to do it's work. When mixed with amendments from our other wish list this makes 2 giant veggie pots for a local family or part of a garden bed. Lowes and Home Depot sell this brand. You can buy online pickup in store at Lowes or Home Depot in Sebring,FL or just Home Depot in Okeechobee and set Ashleigh Svs as the pickup person.

We have a couple families picked who have applied for our assitance. Please help us get them set up. We have most of the veggies starts ready to go we just help getting some dirt together to fill thier garden beds or big pots.

I feel like the Lord is already smiling on our news we shared. I was out working on the farm and a light sprinkle rolled through bringing with it this double rainbow that got close enough it felt like i could touch it. We had some great help on the farm today allowing us to make some much needed progress which will lead to some even more needed upgrades. Someone told me we need a wish list so I am going to work on that. This way people can help with specific needs rather than just money. Please know we do not mind used items either, so if you have somthing similiar hanging around collecting dust we will gladly make use of it or possibly buy it.

So here is our big announcent. The sun is rising on our little version of the promised land We have made a decision to switch gears on Firefly Night Farms . We are moveing toward being a faith based foundation to help local community residents in Okeechobee County and nieghboring counties as needed learn to feed and care for themselves from thier own gardens or even tiny patios and pots. We also have many other useful skills to share. This has been wieghing on my heart for years. We will still sell plants, herbal preperations made from Gods plants, and some livestock though we are downsizing the hoof stock to help support this effort but, God has been telling me for a very long time to feed the people, share my knowledge and his word. This is a way i can follow my mission and help people become more self sufficient to.
We will be fileing for our 501c3 as soon as funds allow. In the meantime i am looking for a non profit sponsor locally who could take donation on our behalf if anyone felt so inclined. I am also looking for an accountant and lawyer experienced in non profit law.

We will also be seeking volunteers and interns in the near future. So if you are interested touch base with me privately.

In the meantime if you know someone in need of imediate help in these areas please let me know and I will do my best to get them going quickly.

Our favorite bible scripture has become very popular as of late but I will still use it as his words are timeless and belong to all.

Many people ask about our name. We are Firefly Night Farms as in let your light shine. Be the light in the darkness of our world.

Matthew 5:16
Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.

I have used this name in various forms since the 90s and I think we have finally found what it was meant for. Stay tuned for new things in the future.

Crookshank, farm employee of the month. He came to us from a neighbor who could no longer keep him. He does his job well and he is so loved.
