What is or was the name of your all time favorite cow?

I get asked quite frequently, “Why Bramers?”

A) They are gorgeous cattle. Brandon and Jim both dreamed of having Brahman cattle before Brandon ever bought Miss Felicia.
B) They produce calves well past the age that our other cattle have to be culled.
C) Once we started, we fell in love with the Brahman people and culture. Laid back and kind, it’s a great way to be!
D) A good portion of our pastures have native grass and we are known to be troubled by droughts. These Brahman ladies are work horses. They just adapt to whatever the situation.
E) $$ Brahman cattle have traditionally been very regional, but they are expanding. Ranchers outside the hot and humid south are starting to realize how easy keeping they are and the benefits even F1 cows or a Brahman bull can bring to their herds. Their value is going up.
F) So, why not???

We were moving too fast to get many pictures, but I had to catch this one! Jim got his chance in the show ring last weekend. Here he is with Miss CA Lottie owned by Jack competing against Jayce and Miss Austin Schluckie at the EYO Fall Classic in Duncan , Ok. It was a win-win situation for Schluckie Cattle Company!
