Braised Barnyard w/Rice / A.K.A. "The Meatgasim "
Feed an army or meal prep!!
Meat (equal parts or mix and match to your liking)
• Chuck roast
• B\S Chicken thighs
• sausage or Pork belly
Veggies
• Onions
• Garlic
• Jalapenos
• Or whatever you like
• Season all meat with SPG or your rub of choice.
• Smoke on the grill at 225 for 3-4 hours
• Put in full size foil pan or whatever oven safe pan that fits everything.
• Add veggies, one stick of butter, herbs and more rub.
• Add beef broth
• Cover and cook at ~275 for 4-5 hours (I did the final cook in my oven)
• Shread meat like pulled pork
• Use some of the juices to cook the rice, for extra flavor.
○ If you have an Instant Pot just use equal parts of dry rice and juice/water. I find that cooking rice in the instant pot give the rice more flavor.
Mix with rice and enjoy!!
You can scale the recipe however you like
• 1/4 to 1/2 lbs of meat per serving
• 1/2 cup of cooked rice per serving
Basically use any meat, any veggies and any seasonings you want!!
