I wanted to share some interesting insights on reducing food waste, a significant challenge in today's food industry. Did you know that about 2.5 billion tons of food are wasted annually? This has a tremendous impact on our environment and affects countless people who could have benefitted from that wasted food.

One of the critical ways we, as consumers, can make a difference is by extending the shelf life of our perishable goods. This can be done through canning, pickling, and dehydration.

At Just4Bars, we discovered the joy of dehydrating fresh fruits and vegetables four years ago. Not only could we provide a healthy, natural snack for ourselves, but we also realized the potential to reduce food waste. Inspired, we decided to create our fruit bars using our dehydrator, and we entered our product in the food innovation competition at Oklahoma State University.
