The towering plant with eaten leaves. I learned you are the trap crop that attracts all the pests, to keep the them from eating your neighbors. You’re so tall I feel like you are guarding the garden every time I enter! (As a parent I found myself identifying with you!)
I had given up on your beauty and settled for your active role- but alas, here you are showing up all graceful and beautiful when everything else wants to die in the 100 degree temps! You truly are a champ! (And when the furnace of parenting rises above 100, I pray I can handle the heat with grace and beauty also)
Now to start playing with you and finding your role out of the garden and in the bouquet!!🤩
