IT’S A DONE DEAL! We are thrilled to announce that Sasquatch Shaved Ice is taking over our shop at Britton & May. As sad as we are to let it go, we are so proud to know it is in the very best hands.

Why did we choose Sasquatch Shaved Ice? It was an easy choice. Here’s why..

Sasquatch Shaved Ice is a nonprofit snow cone stand with locations in the Plaza District, Bricktown, and a mobile unit in Oklahoma City. Our mission is to employ youth, including those who are low-income or have been involved in the foster care or juvenile justice systems and empower them to achieve their educational and career goals.

Along with job training, each Sasquatch Shaved Ice employee gets a checking and savings account with Oklahoma’s Credit Union and takes part in a program that includes monthly life skills classes and financial literacy trainings to prepare them for higher education and career goals. Additionally, Sasquatch Shaved Ice uses the profits from the business to match dollar-for-dollar what their employees save towards life-enriching opportunities. This teaches our youth employees responsible saving and spending habits that will help them break the cycle of poverty and set them on a path towards financial stability and long-term success.

Truly, we are devastated to list our little shop for sale. We are moving and have decided that it’s time to pass this dream on to another entrepreneur. OKC has done so much for us and we are incredibly grateful for it all. We’ve built some of our very favorite memories at The Ice Shop. It’s the last piece of the move for us to handle and we’ve put it off for as long as we possibly could. Please reach out if you’re interested – [email protected] or call/text (405) 534-5700.

Here’s a little info for those of you might be interested –

- I worked a full-time job while running the stand - everything is a well-oiled system utilizing 8-12 employees each summer.

- Being open late May to Mid-August, you should make your investment back in June. Detailed sales records can be provided to serious buyers.

- We moved ½ a mile down the road in 2020 and tripled our sales in our first year at the new location. You can’t beat this corner – a baseball complex down the street, easy highway access and near of some of OKC’s best neighborhoods. Ask any shaved ice stand, finding a location for your stand is incredibly difficult. Finding a location this good is nearly impossible.
