Well family, we did it! James Beard Foundation Awards weekend was a SUCCESS! Chicago owes me nothing at all 😭 The whole experience was surreal. I met so many great people and everyone was so hospitable. As for show night, Naija Wife Kitchen was a HIT! We were SWAMPED with people coming back for seconds, thirds, and even fourth servings 🤣🙌🏾 Hearing all of the positive feedback from the James Beard Foundation committee members, nominees, winners, guests, and culinary experts about my food felt like something out of a movie omg. It really is humbling to know that what I’m doing is appreciated and it was a true honor to be invited out to be a part of it all. I think I’m finally comfortable with accepting the title of “Chef” lol. I’m exhausted, just landed back in OKC not too long ago and I’m due to be on the news in the morning so I’m going to turn in early, but I’ll post more pics and videos tomorrow! I plan on being back open on this Thursday 18th, but I’ll keep yall updated! Thank you sooooo so much again for all of your kind words and I’m so sorry I couldn’t reply. It was a fast paced working week, but I still had a day where I got to be a tourist lol. Love y’all! See you soon!
