🍫🍓 Chocolate Strawberry Cake
🛒 Ingredients:
• 1 1/4 cups lukewarm 2% milk
• 4 tsp yeast
• 1/2 cup granulated sugar
• 1/3 cup unsalted butter, melted
• 2 large eggs
• 3 cups all-purpose flour
• 1/3 cup cocoa powder
• 1 tsp salt
• 1 tsp vanilla extract
• 1 cup fresh strawberries, chopped
• 1/2 cup chocolate chips
• Extra strawberries for topping
👩🍳 Directions:
1️⃣ Activate the yeast: Stir yeast into warm milk; let sit for 5 minutes until foamy.
2️⃣ Prepare the base: In a large mixing bowl, add sugar, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth and creamy.
3️⃣ Add the dry ingredients: Gradually mix in flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Stir until a soft dough forms.
4️⃣ Knead the dough: Transfer the dough to a lightly floured surface and knead for 6–8 minutes until smooth and elastic.
5️⃣ First rise: Place dough in a lightly greased bowl, cover with a clean towel, and let rise in a warm place for about 1½–2 hours until doubled in size.
6️⃣ Add the fillings: Gently fold chopped strawberries and chocolate chips into the dough.
7️⃣ Shape and bake: Transfer the dough into a greased cake pan and bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (180°C) for 25 minutes or until fully cooked.
8️⃣ Cool & decorate: Allow the cake to cool slightly, then top with fresh strawberries and melted chocolate drizzle.
