Okoboji Pastures Okoboji Pastures is a family farm, dedicated to raising healthy food for local families. We hope to be certified organic in the fall of 2018.

We are expecting to receive our organic certification this summer--then we will operate as Okoboji Organics (). We raise pastured chickens and will also raise pastured pork (coming 2018) that we feed certified organic feed from a local Iowa grain mill. Our farm is currently transitioning to organic, and following all organic standards during this 3-yr process. Once we are certified

organic, we will operate under the name, Okoboji Organics (). Okoboji Pastures will continue to be used as a sister brand to Okoboji Organics. Stay tuned for more updates as our business grows!

Our Story

Okoboji Pastures is a family farm, dedicated to raising healthy food for local families. We raise pastured chickens and will also raise a small amount of pastured pork that we feed certified organic feed grown and mixed from a local Iowa farmer. Our farm is currently transitioning to organic, and following all organic standards during this 3-yr process. We hope to be certified organic in the spring of 2019. Once we are certified organic, we will operate under the name, Okoboji Organics (@OkobojiOrganics). Okoboji Pastures will continue to be used as a sister brand to Okoboji Organics.

We raise our animals in small numbers because we care about their welfare and the land. Our chickens are available throughout the summer, typically starting the end of July. We process three batches of chickens and usually pre-sell most of the ahead of the on-farm butcher date. Make sure you are on our email list and stay tuned to our FB posts to place an order. Or pork is available in the late fall. We sell by the whole, half, and quarter pig. We also sell retail cuts throughout the winter, spring, and summer until we sell out. Currently we have some pork available. Our inventory is subject to change. Below is our price sheet:
