Iceland poppies are amazing plants! But when it’s bloom time the harvest chore is a 2-3 times a day chore to catch them at the right bloom stage to sell. Here’s a little info about how I manage mine. I only did one tray (128 plants) and it’s a lot of flowers. I think I’ll do even more next year though! I love them so much!

The ranunculus are in full bloom, the poppies are popping, and the anemones are looking great! I’ll have bouquets at the farmstand at 12 noon today and all day tomorrow! $15 each!

I put out some FREE dahlia tubers and $5 butterfly ranunculus clumps too!

As a reminder: The farmstand has been moved closer to the house because of theft issues. But there’s plenty of room to turn around.

Are you getting married soon? Are you planning to DIY your florals? Lean in because and are teaming up to offer a special class for you DIY brides! Come learn the basics and some insider tricks to save you time, tears, and hassles. Each ticket provides a spot for two people to attend so….Make a fun day of it and bring a friend or family member to the farm to play with flowers, get a tour, and have some lovely treats! The goal is to give you the confidence and skills to accomplish your wedding flower dreams. We hope to see you here on May 17th!

The world is scary right now and it seems absolutely crazy to post about flowers and have moments of joy. But we can hold joy and sorrow in our hearts at the same time. And we must. There are still beautiful things happening. And we still need to call our senators and advocate (even if you end up sobbing on the voicemail) for safety and justice for our neighbors.

One small moment of joy I had this week was French braiding the spent stems of the narcissus to support the newly emerging amaryllis blooms. If you have some straggly paper white stems and need an immensely satisfying little project that makes something a bit more beautiful, give it a try!

(Also please call your senators and leave them a voicemail asking them do do everything they can to protect our neighbors from ICE)

Talia tuber sale tomorrow (Saturday, November 15th) from 9-3. These are whole tuber clumps of popular wedding colors.

The list includes but is not limited to: Sweet Nathalie, Silver Years, Diana's Memory, Cornel Bronze, Golden Scepter, Natal, Sparticus, Kelgai Ann, Wizard of Oz, Jowie Nicky, Jan Van Schaffelaar, and Caitlyn's Joy.

Whole plant clumps are $15 each.

To find us, please Google Moss and Madder Farm and look for the white pop-up tent by the farmstand. Venmo and PayPal are preferred.

Free perennials available in the farmstand. Here’s the list :

Dahli tubers (whole clumps-you divide), varities are: Natal, Sparticus, Great Silence, and some random mystery tubers.

Statice- QIS mix (white and pink mostly)
Lily- double/rose lilies (I honestly don’t know if these will come back, but if they do, they’re fantastic.)

…. And probably more.

This is a self-serve situation- I but will take the post down when they’re gone. Please do not message me to ask what is still there. I am busy putting my field to bed for the winter and will not be monitoring what’s left.

5 free blueberry plants at the farmstand. I still have some free freesia bulbs too!

Come rescue some plants and buy a little $7 bouquet while you’re here. I’m trying something new and hope the cups of water help you get your flowers home happy and hydrated!
