And a little shoutout to my helper in the pickle pjs who actually set an alarm this morning so that she could get up and come hold the bouquet for the ribbon. šŸ˜‚

Boy howdy, I do love making tiny flower things. BoutonniĆØres, corsages, pocket squaresā€¦ give me a pile of locally grown flowers and let me nerd out over all the little details! And apparently flowers werenā€™t enough this time because I threw a few teeny tiny tomatoes into the pocket square boutonniere. šŸ…šŸ˜‚ Because they were the absolute perfect size for this project. All local flowers. A few tiny tomatoes. And just the right amount of flair of awesomeness.

This morning I had the chance to wander through the GORGEOUS dahlia fields at Sly Hill Farm, and oh boy howdy, I was giddy. šŸ˜

Rows and rows of dahlias in every color, shape, and sizeā€”so much beauty all in one place! I may have wandered a little longer than necessary. šŸ˜‚

And of course, I couldnā€™t leave empty-handed. I picked up some absolutely stunning blooms that will be making their way into my flower events this weekend.

My husband does most of the cooking at our house. When itā€™s my turn, I stick with takeout and ā€œpicnic platesā€ā€”which is really just a nice way of saying I put random things on a plate and call it dinner.

We were invited to a going-away party for a dear friend this week, and my assigned dish was ā€¦ wait for itā€¦ FLOWERS!

Finally, a potluck assignment Iā€™m qualified for. šŸ˜‚
