Something old is new again… Amaretto! That’s right. An old Hermetheus favorite is new for 2026 and will be our featured flavored coffee at the Saturday 6/6/26 Black Bob farmers market.
If you haven’t been to this market in 2026, tomorrow is a great day to check it out. With new food vendors, old favorites, and more dogs than we’ve ever seen, what’s not to love? We can’t wait to see you… and we’ll keep the pup cups cold until your 4-legged companion shows up!

Join us Memorial Day Weekend at the Olathe Black Bob Park Farmers Market!
Tomorrow morning we're showing up with the goods… and we mean ALL of them.

Brewing fresh: our Dubai Chocolate, the limited-run blend that's nearly sold out. If you've been meaning to try it, this is your chance (possibly your LAST chance!).

Every flavored bagged coffee, all at once. We usually feature just one flavor each week... but not tomorrow. Blueberry Muffins? Check. Bananas Foster? Check. The whole lineup, ready to come home with you.

And our brand-new merch makes its debut: two tee designs, a canvas tote, and stickers. The tees and totes are printed right here in Olathe by our friends at Mound Creative using an eco-friendly, water-based recycled process. The shirts are Next Level blanks, so soft they feel worn-in from the very first wear.

All merch is also available online on our website!

Find us at Black Bob Park, 7:30am–noon. Bring the family (and dogs!), grab a cup, and kick off the long weekend with us. See you in the morning!

Another Olathe Farmers Market season kicks off tomorrow and we are busy packing up our trailer with our best just for you! Dogs. Love. BEZA! (Along with the rest of this town.)
If you haven't gotten to see Beza one last time at Hermetheus Coffee, today is your last chance. Beza will be at our downtown Olathe library location from 10am - 1:30pm today.
The very first word of Beza's very first unsolicited email to us (via our generic website form) had me hooked: "Howdy"
I just had to meet the person who oozes "howdy" vibes. Her first interview was unlike any I've ever done. We quickly moved past the surface level questions and dived into the real things that matter in life. Dreams (achieved, chasing, and broken), family, and the complexity of just trying to be a source of good in the world. This is Beza's superpower. She welcomes you with an unassuming "howdy", then 10 minutes later has you sharing stories like old friends at a reunion.

Beza embodies what we've had on our website for years:
We are wired to connect, share, enjoy, and even commiserate with others. “Let’s have coffee” is more than drinking a beverage. It is a first date, a difficult conversation, an excuse to finally share deeper feelings, a breakup, the genesis of the next great business pitch, an apology, a reconciliation...or even a conversation with your dog on the couch.

“Let’s have coffee” is about doing life together.

Kenny Rogers has been stuck in my head for weeks. “You picked a fine time to leave me (Beza) Lucille.”
Yes, the goofy and irresistibly lovely Beza Lucille is leaving us at the end of this week. If you’ve met her, you almost certainly love her, so we’re posting her remaining schedule for this week for everyone to come see her one last time. She landed a great (non-coffee) job with a local company that will put her FSU degree to work. You can visit her at the downtown Olathe library Hermetheus Coffee shop:
12/31 - 9am -1:30pm
1/1 We’re CLOSED
1/2 - 9am -1:30
1/3 - 10am - 1:30

Please extend your love and best wishes for this next chapter in her life. My words were quite literally this:

“I hope the club of corporate America bludgeons you so that you’ll WANT to come back someday.”

Here’s what I know… Hermetheus Coffee (or even our new Idaho arm, Hermetheus Coffee Crafters) has a perpetually open door for Beza. I say this with confidence: we will ALL miss her warmth, quirks, endless conversation, and her chronic foot-in-moth syndrome.
Fun trivia note: Eloise, the cute calico pictured, was a stray kitten who showed up at the library one day. Beza kept her at the library for the day, trying to find an owner. Little did she know at the time, Eloise had already found her new owner! Ellie’s favorite pastime is torturing Beza with mischief. Beza’s favorite pastime is trying to act exasperated about it.
