There are a LOT of ways to support Special Olympics Kansas.

Volunteers help make their programs and competitions possible. Coaches serve as mentors and role models. Community members help spread the message of inclusion. And donations help support sports, health, school and leadership programs for athletes across Kansas.

Special Olympics Kansas is a statewide organization — but its impact is happening right here in our own community.

The Metro Region includes local Special Olympics programs throughout the Kansas City area, including the Olathe Trailblazers right here in Olathe. ❤️

These are our neighbors, our families, our athletes and our community.

And that's exactly what our Community Spotlight is all about.

All week long, we're raising funds for Special Olympics Kansas — and we'd love to see our Tall Trellis community show up BIG for them.

🎤 ATHLETES. LEADERS. ADVOCATES.

Special Olympics Kansas athletes aren't only competing.

They're leading.

Through Athlete Leadership programs, athletes have opportunities to become public speakers, team captains, coaches, officials, committee members — and even serve on the Special Olympics Kansas Board of Directors.

Athletes are given the training and opportunities to use their voices, share their experiences and help shape the organization and their communities.

THAT is what empowerment looks like. 💙

The hop harvest is officially underway! 🌿 Nick and Ryan are out at Kansas Hop Co. harvesting the hops that will soon make their way into our wet hop beer! (Doesn’t feel like Christmas to anyone else??)

The 2nd Annual Midwest Freshie Fest is getting closer!

Join us at Tall Trellis on Saturday, October 3 from 12–4 PM for an afternoon celebrating fresh, local hops. We’ll be joined by other local breweries using Kansas Hop Co. hops, with their fresh hop beers available to sample as part of your ticket.

⭐ VIP tickets get you in an hour early for even more time to sip and sample.
