Finally, a peony update! I’ve been putting this off because with each round of severe weather comes the unknown of how the crop will fare- everyone knows that if you proclaim that your crop is awesome, it’s an invitation to get hailed on.

Actually, the plants have been through a lot. A lot of wind, heat, a little hail, a big freeze, a zombie apocalypse, little bit of everything. The plants have persevered though, they are blooming! The peony subscription will be bumped up a week at the behest of Mother Nature. I am sending out emails to subscribers today, please check your email, your spam folder, and get your vases ready!

It’s probably no surprise that delivery dates for tulips are moving up a week! The record-breaking heat has hastened the development of the tulip plants and they are ready, or close to, blooms. Today we have a finely aged 2024 bovine manure to add to rows. It’s full-bodied, elegant, a velvety structure and earthy aroma; a lingering finish with notes of hay and undertones of alfalfa. It’s pure gold. It will make belles fleurs (beautiful flowers) all year. *my mother is the only one working in this video, hard work credit goes to mom*
