Matawan Day is behind us, as is our outdoor event cooking season. It was a great day and the crowds were steady. We enjoyed serving the many residents who came up and down Main Street Matawan. Until next season! Remember, we are still available for corporate and private catering. See you outdoors next spring!

By popular demand we introduce, Bowl-O'rama!

You can enjoy this assault on your palate either in the form of a piled high Mac 'n Cheese and Roast Beef Bowl, or you can choose to have any one of our Sammiches (with the exception of the French dip), in a bowl. We got this idea based on numerous customers asking for our Sammiches sans the bun (I know, it kinda contradicts our name). We started building these killer bowls and decided to roll them out as another menu option. I have to tell you quite honestly, we did R&D on the Mac 'n Cheese and Roast Beef Bowl and I couldn't personally get enough of it. It is absolutely killer. The roast beef and the au jus mixed with the mac 'n cheese makes a tremendously satisfying meal in a bowl. Get one the weekend of October 22nd at the Matawan Day Street Festival. See you there!

Due to last weekend's rain, the Matawan Day 2022 Street Festival has been rescheduled to Saturday October 22nd from 12:00 noon until 5:00pm with a rain date of Sunday the 23rd however; the weather looks to be cooperating!

This is an annual event sponsored by the Matawan-Aberdeen Chamber of Commerce in which thousands of people make their way down Main Street in Matawan to visit the over 150 booths and tables of crafters/artisans, retailers, food vendors, local restaurants, professionals, and non-profit organizations.

Please join us and enjoy one (or more) of our outstanding and tasty Sammiches!

Okay folks without further ado....

As promised we are rolling out a trial run of a new Sammich:

The Operation Sammich Barbecue Beef!
Thinly sliced wood fired roast beef piled high on a New York style round roll swimming in our homemade barbecue finishing sauce. You can really take it over the top and add some melty cheddar cheese sauce. And a tip for the wise: Grab plenty of extra napkins. This is a messy one.

This Sammich is kind of an homage to my mother who when I was a kid would make my favorite sandwich using pot roast. She would take the juices from her slowly cooked pot roast, combine it with a little bit of barbecue sauce to create a nice finishing sauce, shred the pot roast back in, and make the most amazing sandwiches out of it. Unfortunately we just got word that due to the weather forecast, this weekend's upcoming Matawan Day Street Festival has been postponed until the weekend of October 22nd. It is now scheduled for Saturday October 22nd with a rain date of Sunday October 23rd. Keep checking in for updates.

This afternoon we are rolling out a new Surprise Sammich that will be on limited availability for this coming Saturday's menu at the Matawan Day Street Festival (rain date Sunday 10/2). If it is a hit (which I'm sure it will be), it will earn a permanent spot on our menu. Stay tuned!
