Have you made sure to add our Pig Pickin' with Peculiar Pig Farm at Foothills Watershed to your October plans? Join us in Old Fort for a Carolina tradition on Friday, October 23rd, and Saturday, October 24th. 🐖

Friday, October 23rd
• Marvin and the Peculiar Pig team are rolling into Old Fort to get things cooking. Join the fun starting around 5pm when the pig goes on the smoker. Enjoy the opportunity to watch the process and chat with the 5th-generation pig farmers that supply Foothills Butcher Shop while they get prepped for Saturday's Pig Pickin'. Plus, Pisgah Pedal Party will be hosting karaoke at Basecamp and we'll be pouring cold b**r for you to enjoy by the fire pits.

Saturday, October 24th
• We're serving up a taste of heritage and culture starting at 11am! Marvin and the team will be serving up plates of the overnight smoked pork and mouthwatering sides until sellout, prices and menu will be announced soon. Plus, Bluegrass Jam gets started at 1pm to bring some Appalachian sound to the occasion!

We are thrilled to announce that The Thirsty Peanuts have found their cool weather home right here at Watershed!

We've partnered with our friends and fellow Catawba River Road business to make sure you can get your boiled peanut fix year round. Starting this week, The Thirsty Peanuts boiled peanuts will be available for purchase at Watershed alongside our BBQ and b**r. From classic salt to a rotation of fun flavors like Cajun, spicy dill pickle ranch, and more, we are beyond excited to work and grow together.

A little about The Thirsty Peanuts:

The Thirsty Peanuts are creating Old Fort’s own tradition by bringing in a Southern delicacy, boiled peanuts! Charlie and Somer take pride in continuing a nostalgic roadside classic, but with their own craft style twist! With over 40 *flavors* already debuted since their opening 3 years ago, the Thirsty Peanuts insist on pushing your taste buds further than any boiled peanut has before. Better than you remembered, better for your body, better get you some.
