Frontcountry got a facelift just in time for the first 3-day weekend of the school year!

Yes, we will be OPEN for Labor Day.

Enjoy bike trails, play in the Catawba River, fuel up with delicious BBQ, and enjoy a pint of cold Butcher Babe Brewing beer from our onsite brewery.

Bring the kids and have them burn all that youthful energy up on our new and improved kiddie pump track while you enjoy a seat in the shade, and/or bring your own bike (or rent one from our shop) and check out the work we've been putting in on the jump lines and the new trails in the Backcountry (thanks Elevated Trail Design).

As always, Frontcountry amenities are FREE and we have a variety of Backcountry pass options if you're more inclined to aim your bike downhill.

Everyone with their feet on pedals or in the water MUST SIGN A WAIVER. Waivers are good for life, so why don't you go ahead and sign yours now at the LINK IN BIO.

Old Fort is the place to be this weekend. Catch FREE live music and dancing at Watershed, check it out 👇

Friday, August 14th kicks off with H***y Tonk Dance Hall from 6 to 9pm. leads the night with line dancing, two stepping, and live music. Lesson at 6, open floor at 6:30. Free, all ages, all skill levels.

Saturday, August 15th starts with our weekly Bluegrass Jam from 1 to 4pm. Pull up a chair, bring your instrument, or just come to listen.

Then takes the stage from 5 to 7pm. The Asheville five-piece brings rock, funk, and indie with honey-dipped harmonies, groovy bass lines, and plenty of improvisation. Free and not to be missed.

Three opportunities to sing and dance, one place to get down.

Give the kids one last hurrah before school is back in session!

Saturday, August 22nd, and Sunday, August 23rd, we are waiving Backcountry Pass fees for kids (16 & under). Hit the trails, shred the mountain, and have a blast.

As usual, Frontcountry is FREE for all which means even non-bikers can enjoy their final days of summer freedom with a splash in the Catawba River.

As always, waivers are required for everyone on a bike or in the water at Watershed. Kids (16 & under) must be accompanied by an adult with a backcountry pass of their own.

Bringing your kid's friends along with you? Check trail statuses and sign your waiver at the link in bio and plan to spend the day in Old Fort. Rain or shine, we've got you covered. We even monitor mountain thunderstorms and lightning to keep everyone safe on the waterfront and on the trails.

Tiki Hut = Riverside beers made easy. 🌺

We know that the walk from Basecamp down to the waterfront isn't something everyone wants to do over and over again, so we brought the drinks to you. Our tiki hut is parked right by the pond, in the middle of the action, and stocked with cold cans of Butcher Babe beer, juice boxes, and more.

Staffed on weekends when the sun is out and the water is calling. Grab your friends, pull up, and crack one 🍻
